Dear Mountaineering Design people - Thankyou!

In early April I was desperately looking for a good second hand sleeping bag to take on a trek to Nepal Everest Base Camp/Kala Pathar. I had decided a new one was out of the question as having already spent so much on the trek itself and on other bits and pieces to take, I was left pretty short of cash. I saw your advert in one of the outdoor magazines and finally bought a new Half Dome 1000 from you just over a week before leaving the UK.

I was considering a shorter bag (being only 5'2") but a member of your staff explained that a standard bag was probably better for various reasons including the fact that I could always stuff my clothes and event boots into the bottom of the bag. I always feel I can trust a company that tells me I don't need a more expensive product!!

The bag Kept me snug and warm throughout the colder days of the trek - the coldest temperature we registered was -15° and I know I would still have been warm had it been colder. I followed your advice and kept clothes at the foot of the bag - kept my feet warm as well as keeping clothes warm. Infact my camera ended up there too - to prevent the batteries getting too cold.

All in all I was delighted with the bag, it was excellent value for money and I believe it compared very favourably with bags taken by other members of the group who had paid considerably more. I was also impressed with your fast delivery and friendly advice and i'll happily recommend your company to anyone who asks me about down sleeping bags.
