Terms & Conditions

General

All orders accepted by Mountaineering Designs are subject to these terms and conditions of sale, which supersede any previous terms and conditions. While it is our policy to maintain the highest standards of service, we cannot accept responsibility for unskilled or unprofessional use of the goods or materials herein.

All descriptions and illustrations contained in this website are only intended to give a general idea of the products, specifications may vary slightly.

Prices

To assist in prompt dispatch, please use the correct product name and descriptions as supplied on this website. All items are subject to availability.

Delivery

Orders are sent First Class with Royal Mail or on a next working day delivery service with a Courier.

Orders sent by Parcel Force:
Despatch of your goods is presently undertaken with Parcel Force (this may change to factors beyond our control) being insured and trackable 24 hours a day. A signature will always be required upon delivery.

Orders sent by Courier:
UK orders are sent on a next working day service. If nobody is available a card will be left. The couriers cannot specify an exact delivery date/time.

Orders sent by Royal Mail:
If your order has been sent with Royal Mail please allow a few days for delivery.

Northern Ireland, Highlands and Offshore Islands etc:
We reserve the right to request extra shipping payment depending on the total weight of the order and our courier's charges. We will email you to let you know of any extra shipping payment required and you have the right to cancel your order if you wish.

International Orders:
We reserve the right to request extra shipping payment depending on the total weight of the order and our courier's charges. We will email you to let you know of any extra shipping payment required and you have the right to cancel your order if you wish.

Insurance:
Upon despatch, insurance is immediately applied. If, in the unfortunate circumstance there is a loss or damage to the goods in transit, then a payment of up to 50% of the currant value of the goods - not a like for like, or a new for old, can be awarded on application,as is the insurance industry standard.

Extra insurance:
Extra insurance cover can be purchased, over and above the £100 on each parcel we despatch-see scale of premiums. If you feel that this is not sufficient, please contact the office. Any extra cost will be added to the customer's account.

Returns and refunds

Any requests for credit, replacements or refunds for shortages or items damage in transit or damaged/faulty goods must be notified to us within 3 days of receipt of goods, or, in the case of non-delivery, within 10 days of receipt of invoice. Any returns must be returned within 10 days of purchase. Claims will only be settled after the faulty goods have been returned with the nature of the fault clearly stated. Any goods returned incomplete i.e. used, packaging missing, accessories missing etc. will not be replaced or credited.

Similarly any goods found to have been used will not be replaced or credited.

Payment

Payment can be made using a Visa Debit Card via (1) our Website, (2) by phone.

We reserve the right to refuse any credit card/PayPal transactions.

Reservation of Title

The risk of the goods passes to the buyer upon delivery from the carrier, but the TITLE in the goods remain vested in us and shall only pass from us to the buyer upon full payment made by the buyer, of all sums due on whatsoever account or grounds to us.

Substitutions

Descriptions of products are based on manufacturers' details and small changes to colour, finish may sometimes occur as manufacturers' update their products. These changes do not impact on the quality of the goods and we reserve the right to send such goods without prior notice to the customer.

Agreement

The signing of the order form is taken that the Terms & Conditions as set out above have been read and agreed to.
