Mountaineering Designs established in 1972, still remains a small family enterprise, based in the South Lakes, offering an exclusive and efficient, professional service to the discerning outdoor enthusiast, who is looking for quality of product, combined with value for money.

In the last 40+ years, since Mountaineering Designs entered the market, our range of products and services have grown in response to the requirements of our customers. Our products and services are used by individuals and expeditions all over the world and many customers return year on year to improve/upgrade their equipment.

Why we are different?

We are not perceived by our colleagues in the industry as competition, but as an essential service that they can recommend with confidence to interested enthusiasts. Regeneration of down equipment requires specialized expertise and understanding. Couple our extensive knowledge and field experience in the practical use of down equipment, with the need to recycle natural elements, such as down and feathers and the result is a service second to none.
